Our vision

Dryland restoration connected to productive economic systems that strengthen resilience, support food security and create lasting livelihoods.

Our mission

Give women farmers what they need to restore the land, then buy what they harvest.

How we deliver our mission
  1. 01

    Planting material

Quality seed and farm inputs for every woman farmer, ready for the planting season.

  2. 02

    Social and farming education

Training with agronomists and extension officers in climate-smart methods, and social education that keeps women's groups strong.

  3. 03

    A market for every harvest

The women sell their harvest to EcoRafiky. We sell 70% in bulk and turn 30% into NutriPop for their children's schools.

What guides us

Our values.

  1. Community-centred

Solutions are built with and owned by the farming communities who live on the land.

  2. Women first

We put women smallholder farmers at the centre of production and income.

  3. Market-led

Real demand from breweries and schools keeps restoration going after grants end.

  4. Measured & verifiable

We track hectares, vegetation cover, carbon and income, and report them openly.

Impact stories

Stories from the field.

Every story starts with a woman, a plot of land and a season.

Learning, pen in hand

At our training sessions, women farmers come ready to learn and write it all down. Agronomists and extension officers walk them through climate-smart methods like Zai pits, ripping and biochar, and social education sessions help each group plan its season together.

What they write in these notebooks goes home with them, to the plots they are bringing back to life.

How we train and restore
A woman farmer winnowing harvested sorghum onto a tarpaulin

Bare land, green again

In our first season, 30 women farmers on semi-arid land, given seed and training by EcoRafiky, restored 4 hectares of bare, cracked land with Zai pits, rippers and drought-resistant sorghum. Vegetation cover rose by around 30%, and they harvested 4,200 kg of sorghum.

Seed day for a new season

In an arid county where around 95% of crops failed in 2025, women farmers gathered to collect seed and farm inputs for the new season. For the 55 women in the first round, it was the start of restoring their own plots.

Who we work with

A warm cup before class

NutriPop, an instant porridge made with sorghum grown on restored land, now reaches more than 10 schools. Over 700 sachets have been served to young children, so the land their mothers restored ends up feeding them.
