From harvest to a fair market.
We help women farmers grow crops, bring their harvests together and connect with markets.
What EcoRafiky does after the harvest
A good harvest is only half the story. Without help, grain is often lost to damp, pests and poor storage, or sold cheaply at the farm gate. So EcoRafiky stays with farmers after harvest, from the field to the buyer.
How we help
- Post-harvest handling
We train and support farmers to harvest on time, dry the grain on tarpaulins, thresh, winnow, clean and grade it, so it keeps its quality and value.
- Storage bags
We give farmers storage bags to keep their grain dry and safe from pests while it waits to be collected.
- EcoRafiky aggregation
The women sell their harvest to EcoRafiky at our collection points. We check quality and moisture, so many small harvests become one reliable supply.
- Steady buyers
We sell about 70% in bulk to breweries and process 30% into NutriPop for schools, so farmers have a market every season.
Why it matters
Kenya imported 17.7 million kg of sorghum in 2024. That demand already exists, and we connect it to the women restoring the drylands.
When farmers earn from what they grow, they keep the land productive long after a project ends.
